Sound the drums: The Beast from the East has FINALLY left our shores and Spring is here at last!! Hurrah!!

Last week felt like Paul Simon dragging out a fifth encore or Elton John coming back for yet another ‘Last Ever Farewell Tour’. It was fun the first time but by round two I was snow over it..(geddit?)

But the decks have been well and truly cleared and it’s finally time for Spring. A season full of freshness and new beginnings. We cast off the shackles of Winter and get ready for the new .

If you’re anything like me you’ve been in hibernation since Christmas but with Easter around the corner, it’s time to fling the doors wide open and invite family and friends over to celebrate.

I love a pretty table setting, although outside of Christmas I don’t actually do them that often. But I was in Homesense the other day and I found the most gorgeous new plates and glasses (at 60% off it would have been rude not to!) and the most fabulous silk flowers so I decided with Easter around the corner followed sharply by *three* baby showers no less, that I would stock up for the season.

The inspiration for table one came from these gorgeous flowers, aren’t they pretty! AND they’ll look just as pretty at the end of Summer as they did at the start of Spring! The bunny plate is just too cute for words. Even for me.

For table number two I decided to go girly glam. But Easter wouldn’t be Easter without a little homemade egg craft so I made tiny little egg vases and just sprayed some whole eggs to use as place settings.

I had this beautiful roll of wallpaper that I just love and I thought it would make a pretty table runner for table number three.  This would work a treat if you had a long table you wanted to cover.  The polka dot and striped egg shakers might be my most favourite thing ever.

So there you have it.  My take on an Easter table three ways.

Happy Easter Bunnies!
